Exciting News from Sumgayit State University!

We're thrilled to introduce our latest addition to the world of hands-on learning – the "FLPTU" (Flow, Level, Pressure, and Temperature Control Unit) designed by EDIBON. This cutting-edge unit takes education in control engineering to a whole new level!

What is the FLPTU?

The FLPTU unit comprises a hot water circuit, a cold water circuit, and a heat exchanger that efficiently transfers heat between the two. In the cold water circuit, a three-phase pump drives water from the supply tank to an upper tank, equipped with a pneumatic controlling valve, acting as an actuator for flow, pressure, level, and temperature control loops.

On the hot water side, a circulation pump propels water through a heating device and the heat exchanger. The heating device doubles as an actuator for temperature control. Moreover, the temperature of this circuit can be regulated by controlling the flow of cold water.

Sensors!

The FLPTU unit comes equipped with a range of sensors, including flow meters, ultrasonic level sensors, differential pressure sensors, pressure sensors, and temperature sensors. These sensors allow students to delve into the world of process control theory by implementing four distinct control loops with various actuators and sensors.

Industrial Controller & Beyond!

The FLPTU unit empowers students to utilize the industrial controller included with the unit, enabling them to explore level, pressure, temperature, and flow control loops. The PID parameters of the industrial controller are fully customizable via the front panel. Students will gain invaluable insights into the entire PID control loop process, from physical measurement and signal conditioning to programming the controller, setting the desired values, and fine-tuning PID parameters for precise process control.

PLC Integration!

But that's not all! The FLPTU unit also offers the option to extend learning with the EDIBON PLC unit (sold separately). We support various PLC models from renowned manufacturers like PANASONIC, SIEMENS, OMRON, MITSUBISHI, ALLEN BRADLEY, and more.
